Back again

I would die for this photo! Anyone knows how I can get it? Maybe I can go to some sort of å photographer and get it on a canvas. Hmm.. Anywho, I am back again! I promise I'll get better at this! I think I just didn't have the inspiration to continue, but now I do. I can't promise I'll post every day, but more often - definetely. I'll continue to stick to fashion, I think, but maybe I'll throw in a few other things as well. Maybe a bit more lifestyle.

Free as a bird..

I have planned to take a swallow tattoo for ages now.. I have a tattoo on my left wrist, which says "This bird has flown", from the Beatles' "Norwegian Wood". So, I want the swallow as a connection between that phrase and other meanings. I think I want the simple kind, like these above. Simple art.

The biggest inspiration of all - love. I have a tendency to feel melancholy when it comes to love. Not because I don't have it in my life, but I suppose all the books, poetry and movies about true love has started to have an impact on me. And after all, love is the biggest inspiration for the most beautiful music and litterature in history. So I am in good company.

Home is where your heart is..

It's no secret that I believe in the power of words, which is why I love making out words of what is important to me. I think it shows my personality in my home. Also, I have this amazing elephant that my father actually bought, but my mother hated it so he gave it to me (yay!). I think it's amazing. And with my love for India and the Orient, it fits perfectly in my livingroom. And it's naturally placed together with my yoga mat.

One of the new autumn colors from Isadora. You can't see it that clearly on the picture, but it's sort of a brown/bronze feel to it. It's so cool. They have another as well, which is pretty similar, except a green tone instead. It's really a must for the a/w season.

In joy and sorrow..

I'm sorry about the horrible blogger I've been. I will, once again, try and get better. But it's been summer, and I've had so much to do. And in the middle of everything, my beautiful country and hometown was attacked in the most horrible and brutal way. Everything else has just seemed too trivial after that. But I have never been prouder to be a Norwegian, and as a people we will get over this as well. What I am proudest of is definitely our response; we responded with love, compassion and roses.

I love Kim Saigh! You know, I've never been a big fan of Kat von D (probably because of my slight jealousy over her relationship with Nikki Sixx). She seems to try to be more of a rock star than a tattoo artist. Still, as I love tattoos, I had to watch LA Ink. Which is where I saw Kim. She is adorable! And an amazing artist. I love people with their own style, and Kim is gorgeous (she probably has the prettiest smile in the world) and she kicks ass.
Girl crush much? Yup.

This time I have a reason for my blog absense; I have a concussion! Of course this came at a great time (though when is it ever a good time to get a concussion?)So I was instructed by the doctor to completely relax, with no TV, no internet, and no reading. Which is hopeless, in case non of you have tried this before.. No TV; yes, no internet; sure, if I absolutely have to, but no reading? Then what am I supposed to do? You read a lot during the day, let me tell you.

But now I am declaring myself.. Uhm.. Ready to read and stuff again. So now I am going to enjoy the summer that suddenly appeared in Oslo! So if I now can decide which of these nailpolish to wear, my weekend will be great.

I got a ticket to anywhere..

Oh dear lord, I am so sorry.... I didn't realize that the last picture was A) of horrible quality (this is what happens when you live by yourself - no one to take your picture!) and B) that my mess was in the background. I just snapped these pictures before I went to work yesterday, so didn't bother to look at them until now. Oh well.. You get the gist.

I ain't never seen nothing like a Galway girl

I've been wanting to go to Ireland for a long time now, but lately I've been wanting it even more. I guess I am picturing this dream scenario, with beautiful nature (which I really can't complaing about, considering the fact that I live in Norway), handsome-guitar playin'-singing Irish men, with pubs and Irish songs.. I'm a huge daydreamer, and this is occupying my mind at the moment. Why, you say? Because of this:


This is one sad movie. Seriously, I start crying just talking about it (not kidding - I was gonna explain it to my boyfriend, and I started crying). I'm not gonna write a movie review here, you guys just have to watch it yourselves. And now I am reading the book. It's 500 pages, and I've read 400 of them for the past 6 days. Yup, it's good. Anyway, I hope my next vacation will be Ireland.

Paradise City

Ah, home from New York! I adore that city. My bf and I had an amazing week. In my very messy suitcase I have a couple of dresses from Malene Birger, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors amongst others. Where I found it (for a much cheaper price) will I tell you about later. Right now I am enjoying a cup of tea, some scented candles and cnsidering to unpack.. I probably won't quite yet, though.

New York, New York

I've been without internet in my new apartment for a while, therefore the lack of updates! Unfortunately there might be lacks of updates a while longer, because my boyfriend and I are going to New York on Tuesday. I can't wait! I love New York, and my bf has never been there, so I'm sure we'll have tons of fun.

On another note, I love living in Oslo. I have a cute little apartment, my new working place is great, and I'm super happy.

My Time Is Now

I'm just thinking about decorating right now, and very little (okay, that's a lie.. Let' say; not as much as usual) about clothes. Reason? Because I am moving to Oslo! And I'm super excited. I've lived in Trondheim for almost three years (except the time I spent in San Francisco), so I am looking forward to spending my time in our capital. And I've gotten an apartment, so I am just trying to think about how I want to decorate it. French shabby chic? Hippie? Indian/hippie/tons of Buddhas-Indian-style?

I'm confused.....

But so incredibly excited to get down to Oslo! And Sunday is the big day. Hope everyone is as happy as I feel right now!

Hot n' heavy, my oh my, you're the apple of my eye..

I got this new faux fur jacket a couple of weeks ago. I love it! It's not spring outside yet, so it is still perfect to be using outside at this temperature. I have been looking for this type of faux fur for a long time; a light color, and the perfect length.
However, even though I do love this jacket, spring would still be prefereable. It snowed today.. It's sad, I know.

Heal the world

I'm spending a lot of time (or as much as I can) with my boyfriend who lives in Stockholm, and this weekend we had the pleasure of some company. So while bf worked, the rest of us went shopping. Or, Karine and I went shopping, her poor husband were sort of dragged along. Anyway, I've discovered an amazing product; Oceans salt from Lush. I know we have Lush in Norway as well, but for some reason I hadn't been there until now. I've tried to scrub my skin 2-3 times a week, but I always seem to forget. But this product makes me remember, simply because it's amazing!
Oh, and you can also see who made it (hence the face on the box). Plus, it's all made of natural products, and if you come back with four containers or something, you get a free facial mask. Now, how awesome is that? Great beauty products, AND you can help saving the environment.

Guest Designer

I guess everyone in Norway knows this by now, but Whitney Port is going to be the new guest designer for Bik Bok. After what I heard, she will also be visiting Oslo and Stockholm when the line is launched. So. what do you guys think? For me, her collections are a bit too girly. It's cute, but way too.. Well.. Cute. I'll probably check it out, but I doubt that I'll be waiting in line.
