Today's outfit

I really don't wear that much color, especially not in the fall, as you can see. Still, I try to color the outfit up a bit by wearing nailpolish in different colors. Today, it was pink, while the rest of the outfit was black. Except the scarf, though. I wanted to wear my highwaist skirt in a new way, so I just wore a mensshirt over the skirt.

I was supposed to work out today, but after dinner I felt a bit lazy, so here I am with some cookies, and In Style-magazine. Much better :)

In Style

I've been studying all day, and on my way home I saw that Narvesen had 25 % off on all foreign magazines. Oh joy.. I bought In Style, which had Rachel Bilson on the cover this month. I like Rachel, she is so sweet. And love her casual style. I really like this magazine.. I'm seriously considering dropping dinner a couple of times during a month, just so that I can buy this magazine instead.

A lovely saturday

I love saturday's. Especially now that I don't work anymore. Finally I can just use the weekend to do whatever I want. Today, I met Julie for coffee and chai latte, and just walked around looking. There's several stores in our neighbourhood, and I also have a vintage shop 3 minutes from my house. I love it :) As you can see on the pictures, it is very charming. There's one more room with shoes, jewlery and LPs too. The name fits perfectly..

To continue my perfect saturday, I'm going to relax and read in my library book, and then meet Else Marie and Julie for dinner. Lovely!

Moving on..

Just to warn you, this might be a bit of a boring post..

I've decided something. I think.. Or, I might have decided on something. Anyway.. I think I need to do something else next year. I love this study, and it is very interesting, but I just can't see mysekf working with it. I can't stand the thought of having to be locked in an office, and wear boring clothes. I know the clothes-thing is a very bad argument, but when your style is a huge part of who you are, you need to find something to do that also represent you. After all, politics is only one little part of who I am.. So, I've been thinking about journalism. And maybe I can combine it with fashion and such. The time will show.. At least I have something to build on, because political science can be used in several directions, even journalism.

So, so cold..

This town is insane. Really.. Not only is it cold as hell, but the wind.. The wind need its own chapter. Let's just say that it won't be long before I blow away. And I am freezing when I am outside. So, here's my idea; UGGS. I honestly don't like them, but at least they are warm. And I kinda want to be healthy troughout the winter, so I better keep my feet warm. And next; does anyone know where I can buy a wintercoat which is nice-looking AND warm. It does not appear as if the designers has us up in the north in their mind when they design winter jackets..

Found out that I didn't have any lectures today, so I went down town to look in some shops instead. Thank god for mastercard..

This is everything I bought. It's all bought in Gina Tricot. Love ths skirt.. Reminds me a bit of the skirt Carrie Bradshaw has in the intro to Sex and the City. I really like that it is very sweet, but can also be used as a part of a rocked up outfit.

A bracelet with glitter. Love the way it can make jeans and a t-shirt prettier.

A nice hair-ribbon. I'm really bad at doing something with my hair, but this ribbon isn't a whole lot of job putting in my hair, plus it looks sweet.

I must say I am quite pleased right now. Not only am I going to the ACDC-show in Oslo in February, but I also got a ticket for Metallica in Oslo this summer. I can't wait :D

Pink cupcakes

Today was my friend Julie's birthday, so for the occasion, I and Else brought our cooking skills and baked her cupcakes, pink cupcakes with hearts and lips as decoration.

And for her present, we bought her a LP-player. She had LP's, but no player. Kinda like me, except I use my LPs for decoration. Works like a charm.

I have to admit, it's getting better..

..it's getting better all the time. Beatles. Lovely. Anyway, love the apartment :) You're probably sick of hearing about it, but I have to post a few pictures, so that you can see where I live now. I promise, I will try not to talk about it after this post.

The livingroom. It looks a bit small, but it is very nice.. The whole house is a old woodhouse. I think it brings charm to the place..

Busy busy..

In a couple of minutes the clock will strike half past twelve, and I have been so busy packing out all my things (or.. clothes..) that I haven't even taken the plastic of the matress yet. I probably should do that since.. Well, I have to sleep. So I'm sorry for a not so very creative post, but here is a picture of Talitha Getty you can enjoy in the meantime :)

Packing my room down..

It's getting empty here now. All I can say is, thank god that I threw away a lot of my stuff before I moved up here, and that I left some things at home with my parents. In other words, not so stressfull this time.. Still, there's a lot to do, and this room is a bit small, so I'm constantly trembling over boxes. Can't wait 'til I get settled in the other appartment.

I'm so excited!!!

I've got an apartment! Or sort of.. I'm going to share an apartment with two other girls, but that's no problem really, because they are very nice. And the best part is that it is cheaper rent than where I live now, plus it is much closer to town. And it is in a very nice neighbourhood :) Now I just have to move out all my things (again..) and move in there. I'm doing it this monday.. It will be stressfull, but I'm really excited. But the downside of it all is that I have to find someone to live here before I can stop paying rent. So.. Cross your fingers that someone wants to live here! I'll post some pictures of the apartment later.. With the chaos that comes with packing. Wish me luck..

Portia Freeman

I love Portia Freeman's unique style where she combines femininity and rock. I really want her jacket, it would fit perfectly with both dresses and jeans. She is already a well known name within the fashion world, where she has done shows for Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Marc Jacobs. I think she has the perfect style for Marc Jacobs especially. Lucky girl :)

Going back home.. sort of.

When you move out, there is a period where you're not sure where home is. Right now I'm stuck between to; I'm on my way back home to Trondheim (where I study) after being home at my parents house for the weekend. Loved being back home again, and I had an amazing time. Missed Oslo too, and realized how much I missed out on by moving across the country (well, almost across; I'm not going any higher up, it's simply too freaking cold..). Anyhow, I sitting on a bus. So, in about 8 hours, I'll be back home.. The other home. This was confusing. Well, I'll put some music on, and hope that this will go faster than I believe that it will. Why I didn't take the plane? Because I used all my money on buying things, or on food. Great. Wish me luck..

Oh, and Oslo; I will see you again in a month.

I love leather

Really, how great isn't it that leather is popular again? Love it.. I have a leather tights that I love, but I beliveve that I need more than one.. I use it all the time, and love to wear it with something in a totally different style, just to rock up the outfit a bit. I wouldn't mind having Ashley Olsen's leather skirt in my wardrobe either. Quite lovely..

Black Crowes

I love hippies! And I love music.. So there's nothing better than combining the two. Black Crowes is a rock band, but their style is very hippie-ish. I especially love frontman Chris Robinson's look. He has an amazing voice, and a great sence of style. To some, he is probably more known as Kate Hudson's ex-husband.

By the way, I'm trying something new here; writing in English. Would really like to know what you guys think, Norwegian or English?

Søndagsmarked.

Second-hand veske.

I dag har det vært en helt flott søndag! Med unntak av regnet som overrasket oss litt da.. Var med ei venninne i Oslo i dag, og vi var først innom søndagsmarkedet på Blå, deretter på Andy Warhol-utstilling på Astrup Fearnley museet. Søndagsmarkedet var helt fantastisk.. Visste faktisk ikke at vi hadde sånt i Norge, og merker egentlig jeg angrer på at jeg ikke flyttet til Oslo istedet for Trondheim. Desverre hadde jeg nesten ikke penger, så ble litt dårlig med kjøp, men vesken ovenfor er original fra 1960-tallet. Fikk den for 250 kr, og er veldig fornøyd! Andy Warhol var selvfølgelig også flott, men det sier vel nesten seg selv..
